Spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj caught in controversy on wedding day

NEW DELHI: Self-proclaimed spiritual guru Bhaiyyu Maharaj caught in a controversy on his wedding day after an actress accused him of 'cheating' on her. She alleged that Bhaiyyu calls her up from different numbers to disturb her. I have worked hard and wrote a book on him. He has its 950 copies with him for two and a half years." "He had kept me in an illusion and now calls me from different numbers. Do not trust him. I will send him a court notice for not returning my book. I have his letter too. He is a puppet of lies and nothing else," she wrote. Reacting to allegations, his PA, Tushar Patil, has said that the women is doing all this for publicity. "She used to come to Bhayyu Maharaj and tell that she is writing a book on him. The book contains things that are fictional," he said. Bhaiyyu Maharaj has tied the knot with Dr Ayushi Sharma, a native of Shivpuri, in Indore. He had also arranged a blessing ceremony on April 30 at Silver Spring Club House, invitations of which were sent to closely related people. The disciples of the self-proclaimed guru were surprised by the suddenly taken decision. It is worth mentioning that Bhaiyyu Maharaj had announced his intention to take 'sanyas' from public life about a year ago. Recently, he has also distanced himself from high profile people and leaders. Bhaiyyu Maharaj's first wife, Madhavi, had passed away in November 2015. According to sources, he was feeling lonely after the death of his wife. Madhavi was originally belonged to Aurangabad. For a long time, the couple lived separately. After the death of his wife, rumors of his relationship with a woman living in the ashram were also surfaced. It is being said that he has decided to remarry for his daughter and ailing mother. All close relatives have reached Indore for the ceremony. His sister did all the preparations for the high profile wedding, which is a part of discussions all over the country. He is based in Indore and his social trusts works largely in the rural areas of Maharashtra. Born in 1968 in a family of agriculturists at Shujalpur in Madhya Pradesh, Udai Singh Deshmukh, or Bhaiyyuji Maharaj, was invited by Narendra Modi during 'sadbhavna upwaas'. He came into limelight when the then central government sent him as a mediator to persuade Anna Hazare to call off his fast at the Ramlila ground.
