New Delhi: In yet another snatching incident in the national capital, cell phone of a metropolitan magistrate was snatched, on Monday night in Kamla Nagar. The incident comes days after two men were arrested for snatching the purse of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s niece. Bike-borne men snatched the cell phone of a Metropolitan Magistrate last night in Kamla Nagar. He had gone for a dinner with his family at a restaurant, and was receiving a phone call when his cell phone was snatched by the bike-borne snatchers. Reports of snatching incidents in New Delhi have amplified alarmingly of late. Days ago, two men had wrenched the handbag from Damayanti Ben's grasp when she was alighting from an auto-rickshaw Saturday morning in North Delhi's Civil Lines area. The bag contained Rs 56,000, two mobile phones, some documents and other valuables. Based on a complaint by her, police registered a case and later identified the two snatchers.
