Sisodia denies calling Anna Hazare ‘fraud’; says ‘account got hacked’
New Delhi: Hours after anti-Anna tweets were re-tweeted from Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s account, the latter clarified that the tweets weren’t done by him.
Sisodia in a string of tweets denied endorsing tweets which called social activist Anna Hazare a “fraud” and claimed that his twitter account had been hacked by someone.
The Tweets also called Hazare a “(Bharatiya Janta Party) BJP agent”.
Clarifying his take on the matter, Sisodia on Saturday Tweeted, “Please don't believe them. I have greatest respect for Annaji. Can never say such things against him...".
Another tweet followed which read "My account hacked. Someone retweeting anti-Anna Hazare messages from account. Trying to delete them, not even getting deleted."
Hazare lashed out at AAP:
Hazare had earlier blamed Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's urge for power being behind the Aam Aadmi Party's debacle in the Delhi civic polls.
"People gave him a mandate and he got an opportunity to turn Delhi into a model state for the entire country to replicate. But power is bad. Once you sit in the chair, you lose your power of thinking," Hazare had said.
Hazare had also zeroed Kejriwal's allegations regarding tampering with electronic voting machines (EVMs) during state and MCD polls and said that “in reality the gap between the AAP leaders' words and deeds eroded public faith in the party”.
