Water Supply Disruption Warning In Shimla:

According to Shimla Jal Prabandhan Nigam Limited officials, water supply will be disrupted in the coming days due to heavy silt load in the water sources, and citizens have been advised to use water wisely, PTI reported.

During the rainy season, turbidity rises, interfering with disinfection and allowing harmful bacteria, viruses, and parasites to grow. As a result, they advised the general public to drink water after boiling it for 10 minutes to avoid jaundice, cholera, and other gastrointestinal illnesses, the report said.
