Sanjay Raut Admitted To Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital, To Undergo Angioplasty On Thursday

Sanjay Raut will undergo angioplasty on Thursday afternoon, his brother Sunil Raut, a Sena legislator from Bhandup said.

Mumbai: Shiv Sena leader and party spokesperson Sanjay Raut was admitted to Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Wednesday evening for angioplasty. As per reports, the Sena MP will undergo angioplasty on Thursday afternoon, his brother Sunil Raut, a Sena legislator from Bhandup said. During that time, Raut underwent an angioplasty to remove two blockages in his heart. Raut, executive editor of the Sena's mouthpiece 'Saamana', has been holding the baton of Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government in Maharashtra. Recently, Raut had threatened Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut to teach her a lesson after her tweet terming Mumbai as 'mini-Pakistan.' The Sena leader asked Ranaut apologise for her comments against Mumbai and Maharashtra. Asked if he would apologise for his remark against Ranaut while reacting to her tweet on a TV channel, Raut told reporters that "anybody who lives and works here and speaks ill of Mumbai, Maharashtra and Marathi people, I would say apologise first". Earlier in the day, Raut attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) after  Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Mumbai to meet several film personalities and industrialists. Adityanath had earlier unveiled an ambitious plan to set up a film city and rolled out an open offer to film fraternity to come to Uttar Pradesh. Raut said it is not easy to shift Mumbai's Film City elsewhere even though attempts have been made for it. "What is the status of Noida film city now? Can you create Mumbai's Film Cityin Lucknow and Patna?" Raut asked. Raut also said the central government should take steps to resolve the farmers' protest against the new farm laws going on at the Delhi borders since last week.
