A Delhi Court issued notice to Delhi Police on Sameer Wankhede's petition seeking an FIR against IPS officer Gyaneshwar Singh for alleged harassment that is punishable under the SC & ST Act

Delhi's Patiala House Court on Wednesday issued notice to Delhi Police on Indian Revenue Service (IRS) Sameer Wankhede's petition seeking an FIR against IPS officer Gyaneshwar Singh for alleged harassment that is punishable under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities ) Act, 1989.

The Delhi court has issued notice to Delhi Police and asked the DCP, Southwest district, Delhi if any FIR has been lodged in this case and called for an action taken report on the complaint filed by Wankhede, Aditya Giri, Advocate for Sameer Wankhede told ABP Live.

Advocate Anand Kumar who is also representing Wankhede in the case told ABP LIVE, that despite several complaints being given to police, no action has been taken against Gyaneshwar Singh in this case and hence Sameer Wankhede moved before the special court, under SC-ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, seeking a direction for registration of FIR against Gyaneshwar Singh for the offence committed by him.
