'PM Doesn't Take RSS Seriously, Why Should We?': Congress On RSS Member's Remarks On BJP, I.N.D.I.A

While the BJP said that it takes Kumar's comments seriously, the Congress dismissed the relevance of Kumar's remarks, stating that the PM himself doesn't take it seriously, then "why should we?"

In a striking critique, RSS leader Indresh Kumar condemned the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for its "arrogance" and criticised the opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc for being "anti-Ram". His comments have triggered responses from both BJP and Congress. While the saffron camp on Friday said that it takes Kumar's comments seriously, the grand old party dismissed the relevance of Kumar's remarks, stating that Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself doesn't take RSS seriously, then "why should we?"

Congress leader Pawan Khera, responding to Kumar's comments, said, "Who takes RSS seriously? PM Modi does not take them seriously, so why should we If he had spoken when it was time to speak, everyone would have taken him seriously. At that time, they (RSS) remained silent. They also enjoyed the power".

BJP MLA Gopal Sharma, acknowledging the seriousness of the comments, said, "Indresh Kumar is one of the prominent members of Sangh and he must have pondered over this before speaking. BJP takes his comments seriously and will think about it".

In a speech at the 'Ramrath Ayodhya Yatra Darshan Samaroh' at Kanota near Jaipur, RSS national executive member Indresh Kumar condemned both the ruling BJP and the Opposition I.N.D.I.A bloc.

Without directly naming the parties, Kumar stated that the recent Lok Sabha poll results were a reflection of their attitudes. "The party which did the bhakti but became arrogant was stopped at 241 but was made the biggest party," he said, referring to the BJP, which won 240 seats in the Lok Sabha.

Kumar targeting the Opposition bloc, stated, "And those who had no faith in Ram, they together were stopped at 234". He added, "See the 'Vidhan' of Ram Rajya in democracy; those who did 'Bhakti of Ram but gradually turned arrogant, that party emerged biggest party but the vote and power that should have been given was stopped by God due to their arrogance".

He continued, "Those who opposed Ram, now of them was given power. Even all of them together were made number two. God's justice to everyone. He gives and will keep on giving. Lord Ram was always just and will remain so," he said. He further stated that Lord Ram protected people and even did good to Ravana.

Notably, these remarks followed a statement by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, who recently said that a true 'sevak' does not have arrogance and serves the people with 'dignity'.
