Ram Temple: Ahead of SC hearing, BJP leader Ram Madhav says "demand of saints shall be regarded”
Ram Temple hearing is scheduled on Januray 29 in the Supreme Court. The Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, reconstituted the Ayodhya bench on Friday by inducting Justice Ashok Bhushan and Justice Abdul Nazeer.
New Delhi: With nearing Lok Sabha elections and amid heated politics around Ram Temple, national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Ram Madhav gave a major statement regarding the Ayodhya matter and said that the wishes of the saint community will be heeded to in this regard. Madhav who was attending the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj said that everybody will have to surrender to the wishes of the saints and the crores of devotees of lord Rama.
After visiting Sangam, the holy confluence three rivers and offering prayers at the largest religious gathering in the world, Madhav said that government is just waiting for the Supreme Court’s verdict. “After the verdict everybody will have to bow down to the wishes of the Lord Ram’s devotees”, he said.
He said that the dream of Ram temple construction will soon come true. He claimed that work in this direction will start very soon and a solution will reached. Madhav's statement comes two days ahead of the crucial Supreme Court hearing on the issue.
He refused to give his opinion on appointment of Priyanka Gandhi as the general secretary of Congress party for UP East.

A five-judge Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court, headed by Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi, heard the Ayodhya temple-mosque case on January 9. It was expected to take a call on the frequency of hearings in the case. The hearing got adjourned after Judge UU Lalit left the hearing saying he was a lawyer in a related case earlier. The four other judges on the Constitution Bench were Justice SA Bobde, Justice NV Ramana, Justice UU Lalit and Justice DY Chandrachud.
Justice U U Lalit, who was part of the original five-judge Constitution Bench, had recused himself, prompting the Supreme Court to reschedule the hearing on January 29 by setting up a fresh bench.
