Rakesh Tikait Condemns Karnal SDM’s ‘Crack The Head’ Remarks, Calls Him Commander Of ‘Sarkari Talibani’
Tikait said the officers, who speak about cracking farmers’ heads should be posted in the Naxal-affected areas.
Nuh: Strongly condemning Karnal Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ayush Sinha’s instructions to the police to “crack the head” of the protestors, Bharatiya Kisan Union leader Rakesh Tikait on Sunday alleged the IAS officer is commander of ‘Sarkari Talibani’.
“Yesterday, an officer ordered (policemen) to hit farmers on their heads. They call us Khalistani. If you would call us Khalistani and Pakistani, we would say ‘Sarkari Talibani’ has occupied the country. They are ‘Sarkari Talibanis’,” he said venting his ire over the Karnal Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s remarks.
Tikait said the officers, who speak about cracking farmers’ heads should be posted in the Naxal-affected areas.
“The officers who speak about cracking farmers' heads should be posted in Naxal-affected areas. That IAS officer (Karnal SDM Ayush Sinha) is commander of ‘Sarkari Talibani’,” ANI quoted Tikait as saying.
The 2018 batch Haryana cadre IAS officer was earlier on Saturday caught on camera instructing the policemen to beat up the protesters and not to let anyone breach the security cordon without a “broken head”.
The Sub-Divisional Magistrate is, in a now-viral video clip, seen asking the policemen to “break the head” of protesters who had gathered to protest against Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and state Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders in Karnal.
Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Sunday condemned the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s instructions to the police and said “action will be taken” against him.
“The use of such kind of words by an IAS officer for farmers is condemnable. Definitely, action will be taken against him. In a clarification, the SDM said he didn’t sleep for the last two days. He probably doesn’t know that the farmers also don’t sleep 200 days a year,” Chautala said, ANI reported.

Meanwhile, former Haryana chief minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda demanded a high-level inquiry into the incident in Karnal.
“Any problem can be resolved by talks only, not by suppressing people's voices. There must be a high-level inquiry into whatever happened yesterday. Culprits must be punished,” he said.
