Suspected ISI Agent Held By Rajasthan Police For Supplying Strategic Information

During the questioning, Sengathir stated that Narendra Kumar stated that he came into contact with an account on Facebook called "Poonam Bajwa" around two years ago.

A suspected spy was apprehended for revealing crucial information after being entrapped in the honey trap of Pakistani intelligence organisation ISI, according to authorities, news agency PTI reported.  According to Additional DGP (Intelligence) S Sengathir, during the continuous monitoring of ISI activities, it was discovered that Narendra Kumar, a resident of Anandgarh Khajuwala near the India-Pakistan International Border in Bikaner, had contacted Pakistani Intelligence Agency (PIO) through social media and was in constant contact with two female handlers, sharing strategic information. 

During the questioning, Sengathir stated that Narendra Kumar stated that he came into contact with an account on Facebook called "Poonam Bajwa" around two years ago. Poonam claimed to be a native of Bhatinda and to work as a data entry operator for the BSF.

He said that Poonam befriended Narendra and enticed him to marry her in the future, and that they exchanged WhatsApp contacts. Poonam used to demand sensitive information regarding the status on the international border while in regular contact with Narendra, such as road bridges, BSF posts, towers, images of Army vehicles, and photographs and videos of restricted areas.  

Sengathir stated that Narendra had previously communicated with another female Pakistani handler. Sunita, the woman, introduced herself as a journalist and frequently inquired about the border area. He was also giving this agent strategic information.

He stated that during the accused's combined questioning and technical investigation of the mobile phone, it was discovered that he was trapped in the honeytrap of female Pakistani handlers and given sensitive information of strategic importance relating to the international border region.  According to authorities, a complaint has been filed against the accused under the Official Secrets Act of 1923.
