New Delhi: In the wake of rising rape and gang-rape cases in the state, Rajasthan High Court on Friday sent a notice to state Director General of Police, expressing anger over the rising crimes.
The notice has been sent by Rajasthan High Court Judge Sandeep Mehta, who has expressed concern over crimes against women and children and the current law and order situation in the state.
In the notice, the court has ordered the DGP to make a list of all the crimes against women that have been reported in the state and give an update on the actions that have been taken so far in each case. The court also asked to present a report on the status of the investigation in each case, on the next date of hearing.
The court has also lashed out at the Rajasthan police in the notice it issued to the DGP.

After the horrendous incident of gang-rape was reported in Alwar, similar incidents have come to light from Bharatpur and Jhalawar; and the police have been working on such gruesome crimes at a very slow place, therefore the court has issued a notice to DGP and has sought an answer.
