Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot Admitted To SMS Hospital In Jaipur, To Undergo Angioplasty
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was taken to SMS Hospital in Jaipur today after he complained of severe chest pain. He tweeted this information himself.
Jaipur: Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot was taken to SMS Hospital in Jaipur on Friday after he complained of severe chest pain. Gehlot took to Twitter and informed that his angioplasty will be done in the SMS hospital. Doctors are constantly monitoring his health. Health Minister Dr. Raghu Sharma has also rushed to SMS hospital after receiving information about CM Gehlot's ill health.

"I have been facing health problems since Covid. I am having severe chest pain since yesterday, after which I got my CT-Angio done at SMS Hospital today. My angioplasty will be done by the doctors here. I'm glad my treatment is happening at SMS Hospital. I'm fine and will be back soon. All your prayers and blessings are with me," Gehlot tweeted.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too took to Twitter and wished him a swift recovery.
Gehlot Facing Post-Covid Problems
Gehlot is facing post-Covid problems which he has mentioned several times in his virtual programs as well. Due to this, Gehlot is not participating in public programs as well. The senior Congress leader was scheduled to visit Delhi last night, but program was canceled due to his poor health.
The 70-year-old became the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for a record third term in December 2018 after Congress bagged the Assembly elections. Before this, Gehlot was the CM of Rajasthan from December 1998 to 2003 and from 2008 to 2013.
Currently, Gehlot represents the Sardarpura seat of Jodhpur in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly.
