Rahul Gandhi Reveals The 'Best Cooks Among Indian Politicians' As He Discusses His Favourite Food
Rahul Gandhi talks about his favourite food and reveals who are the best cooks in his family and among Indian politicians in general.
Former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi, in an interview, revealed his interests aside from politics. In a video that he shared on Instagram, the Congress leader shared a clip from the YouTube channel ‘Khaane Mei Kya Hai?’ where he reveals who his favourite cooks are and discusses his own passion for food. In the short clip, he says that he is a coffee drinker in the morning, but in the evening he prefers tea. While roaming around with the host to eat at different places around the national capital, Gandhi said he preferred sweet over spicy food.
According to Rahul Gandhi, former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav is one of the best cooks. Whereas, between him, his mother Congress veteran Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, his sister and the General Secretary, his mother is the best cook. "But among all of us, my mother makes the best food", he said.
"My sister won't like it" but his mother is "Number 1" in cooking while Priyanka Gandhi is No 2 and Rahul Gandhi himself is a “distant No 3”.
Further, he also said that he prefers "Indian mithai" over French desserts.

The former Congress chief visited the Matia Mahal market in Old Delhi and the Bengali market and treated himself to popular dishes of these areas. These popular eating joints are Rahul Gandhi's favourite spots. He visited a famous "sherbet" vendor in the Matia Mahal area. He gorged on some fruits and "golgappas" at Nathu sweets at the Bengali market.
Rahul Gandhi vacated his official bungalow in Lutyens' Delhi and shifted to his mother Sonia Gandhi's residence on Saturday. He said he was "paying the price for speaking the truth" and vowed to continue to raise people's issues. Gandhi, who was disqualified from Lok Sabha last month following his conviction in a defamation case, was asked to vacate the 12, Tughlaq Lane bungalow by April 22.
Saturday morning, Gandhi moved out all his belongings from the bungalow where he had been staying for almost two decades. Gandhi, his mother Sonia Gandhi and sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra visited the bungalow in the morning. He handed over the keys of the vacated house to officials of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
