He will meet and interact with the residents of Krishna Kutir there, a statement issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan said Sunday. Vrindavan's Krishna Kutir is an ashram for widows. News agency PTI had earlier reported that Kovind during his visit to Vrindavan Monday will also pay obeisance at the famous Bankey Bihari temple. Quoting officials, the June 24 report said he would have tea with the residents of Krishna Kutir.

Late President Pranab Mukerjee, Kovind’s predecessor, had also paid obeisance at the Bankey Bihari temple, Gyanendra Goswami, the Rajbhog Seva Adhikari of the temple, was quoted as saying.

Elaborate security arrangements are in place for the VVIP visit, with the office of the additional superintendent of police (traffic) in Mathura issuing guidelines related to traffic, the report said, adding that all vehicles are prohibited from entering Vrindavan through the cut on Agra-Delhi highway.

The President’s helicopter is scheduled to land at a special helipad near Krishna Kutir ashram around 9.45 am, according to his official itinerary.
