Major Things Planned On PM Narendra Modi's Birthday:

Modi To Release Cheetahs In MP's Kuno National Park

The first event of the day for PM Modi will be the release of cheetahs brought from Namibia in Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park. He will arrive at the Gwalior airport from New Delhi at around 9.20 am and leave for Kuno National Park (KNP) in the Sheopur district. He will release the cheetahs into quarantine enclosures at around 10.45 am, PTI reported.

After releasing cheetahs, PM Modi will take part in a plantation programme at Karahal in Sheopur district and later arrive at a local school to participate in a conference of women's self-help groups (SHGs).

Cheetahs got completely wiped out from India due to their use for coursing, sport hunting, overhunting and habitat loss. The government declared the cheetah extinct in the country in 1952.

Address To Students From ITIs

After a brief stay in Gwalior, PM Modi will leave for New Delhi in the afternoon. The Prime Minister will then address students at the first-ever convocation of students from ITIs on the occasion of Vishwakarma Jayanti. Around 40 lakh students will join this programme.

PM Modi To Launch National Logistics Policy

A more significant event is scheduled in the evening when Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the National Logistics Policy of the country that aims to reduce logistics costs to 8% of the GDP.

Aimed at promoting a seamless movement of goods across the country, the policy is expected to focus on several areas such as process re-engineering, digitisation, and multi-modal transport.
