PM Modi To Inaugurate ‘Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya’ With Aim To Showcase Achievements Of Former Prime Ministers

The inauguration of the museum will coincide with the birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate ‘Pradhanmantri Sanghralaya’ on April 14 to acknowledge the contributions of all former Prime Ministers of the country, reported news agency ANI. 

A redeveloped Block I of the museum will exhibit several gifts that were received by the first Prime Minister of the country, Jawaharlal Nehru, which have not yet been a part of the Nehru Museum. 

The inauguration of the museum will coincide with the birth anniversary of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution. 

Through this museum, the government aims to sensitise the younger generation of the country about leadership, vision, and achievements of all previous prime ministers of the country, reported ANI. 

“Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya is an inclusive endeavour by PM Modi, which is aimed at sensitising and inspiring the younger generation about the leadership, vision and achievements of all our Prime Ministers," reported the news agency quoting sources. 

The information for the museum was gathered from various different sources which included families of the former prime ministers. 

"Information about the former Prime Ministers was collected through institutions such as Doordarshan, Film Division, Sansad TV, Ministry of Defence, Media Houses (Indian and foreign), Print Media, Foreign News Agencies, Toshakhana of MEA, etc. Families were also contacted for information about the former Prime Ministers," reported ANI quoting sources. 

“Holograms, virtual reality, augmented reality, multi-touch, multimedia, interactive kiosks, computerised kinetic sculptures, smartphone applications, interactive screens, experiential installations have been leveraged to make the exhibition content highly interactive, sources added,” the sources added further.
