PM Modi Attends Prayer Meeting At Gandhi Smriti To Observe Mahatma's Death Anniversary — Video
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a prayer meeting at Gandhi Smriti to observe the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. He also paid tributes at Raj Ghat earlier in the day.
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar attended a prayer meeting at Gandhi Smriti to observe the death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, President Droupadi Murmu and PM Modi paid floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat here. Vice President Dhankhar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also paid floral tributes to Gandhi at his memorial. A two-minute silence was also observed for the Father of the Nation.

Taking to social media, PM Modi posted on X, "I pay homage to Pujya Bapu on his Punya Tithi. I also pay homage to all those who have been martyred for our nation. Their sacrifices inspire us to serve the people and fulfil their vision for our nation".

Notably, CJI DY Chandrachud, who pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat, also alluded to his values and said, "Gandhi ji's teachings are as relevant today as they were when he spoke. Speaking for myself, in our work as judges we realise every day the importance of compassion, universality, tolerance & equality which Gandhi ji preached in all his acts, deeds & words", as per news agency ANI.
