PM Modi 73rd Birthday: BJP leaders held a special prayer at Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan while Muslim women lit 73 earthen lamps in Varanasi.

On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 73rd birthday, BJP leaders held a special prayer at Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara in Pakistan with party leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa highlighting the significance of Kartarpur Sahib as the birthplace of Guru Nanak Dev, the founder of the Sikh religion. Wishes poured in from diverse streams to mark the 73rd birthday of PM Modi as leaders from across the political spectrum, notable personalities, and the general public extended their warm regards, wishing him robust health and a long life.

"Today we have come to Kartarpur Sahib which is the birth place of Guru Nanak Dev ji. This corridor opened following PM Narendra Modi's efforts and prayers (by man). We prayed for the country's prosperity and development as well as Punjab's wellbeing. We also prayed for PM Modi's health and long life on his birthday," BJP's Manjinder Singh Sirsa told news agency ANI.

In commemoration of the Prime Minister's birthday, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) initiated a 'Seva Pakhwara (fortnight)' campaign, spanning from Sunday to October 2, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. This campaign aims to reach various sections of society with an array of welfare initiatives.

Deeply Touched By The Outpouring Of Wishes, Says PM Modi. Muslim Women Light 73 Earthen Lamps In Varanasi

In Modi's parliamentary constituency of Varanasi, special prayers were conducted at the revered Kashi Vishwanath temple. On this occasion, a group of Muslim women lit 73 earthen lamps and performed an 'aarti' to mark the event, news agency PTI reported. These women, associated with the Muslim Mahila Foundation (MMF), also engaged in singing folk songs, creating 'rangolis' (traditional art), and distributing sweets.

BJP members and Modi's ardent supporters engaged in numerous activities, including yagnas (ritual offerings) and pujas (prayer ceremonies), cleanliness drives, plantation efforts, and the distribution of food items to the underprivileged.

Later in the day, Prime Minister Modi expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming outpouring of well-wishes.

PTI reported a BJP spokesperson as informing that more than 700 programs were organised across Jammu and Kashmir to celebrate the Prime Minister's birthday. Party leaders and activists distributed sweets and fruits, conducted yajnas, and held rallies to commemorate the day. In Chandigarh, a multi-faith prayer gathering was conducted for Modi's well-being.

In Varanasi, saints and seers performed yajnas, while 'jalabhishek' (ritual pouring of water) was carried out at the Kashi Vishwanath temple to celebrate the Prime Minister's birthday.

A special Ganga Aarti was also performed at Dashashwamedh Ghat in Varanasi.

Nazneen Ansari, a senior member of the MMF, praised PM Modi as the protector of Muslim daughters and someone who has elevated their standing worldwide, PTI reported.

In Meerut, approximately 1,600 students from Deendayal Upadhyay Management College came together, donning the colors of the national flag, to form a human chain representing the G20, in celebration of this special day.
