Radha Mohan Singh, presiding over the session at the time, assured that any remarks beyond the formal oath would be struck off the record, news agency PTI reported.
The uproar continued briefly before Pro-tem Speaker Bhartruhari Mahtab restored order, reiterating that only the oaths or affirmations would be recorded.
According to PTI, Mahtab emphasised, "I have said earlier please avoid invoking anything other than the oath or affirmation. That is only to be recorded... That should be adhered to."
Outside Parliament, Owaisi defended his remarks, stating, "Other members are also saying different things... I said 'Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine'. How is it wrong? Tell me the provision of the Constitution? You should also listen to what others said. I said what I had to. Read what Mahatma Gandhi had said about Palestine."

BJP-Led NDA Re-Nominates Om Birla for Lok Sabha Speaker, Opposition Fields K Suresh
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on Tuesday in a move for continuity re-nominated Om Birla for the crucial position of Lok Sabha Speaker for its third term. However, as a consensus was not reached on the Speaker post, the opposition nominated Kodikunnil Suresh as its candidate, leading to an election.
The opposition’s decision for a rare contest came after senior BJP leaders rejected the precondition that the INDIA bloc should be offered the post of Deputy Speaker in return for supporting Birla, who remains the clear favourite if an election occurs.

A brief interaction to reach a consensus took place in the office of Union Minister Rajnath Singh in Parliament, involving Congress leader K C Venugopal, DMK’s T R Baalu, and BJP’s Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, and J P Nadda. The discussion ended in disagreement, with both sides holding firm to their positions.
Venugopal and Baalu walked out, with Venugopal accusing the government of breaking the convention of offering the Deputy Speaker position to the opposition. He announced the decision to field a candidate against Birla.
In response, Union Ministers Piyush Goyal of the BJP and Lalan Singh of the JD(U) accused the opposition of engaging in pressure politics and setting preconditions despite assurances from senior ministers that the demand would be considered when selecting the Deputy Speaker, PTI reported.
