2 terrorists, Ikhlaq Ahmad Hajam (mastermind behind killing of HC Ali Mohammad at Hasanpora Anantnag on Jan 29) and Adil Nisar Dar, both linked with proscribed terror outfit LeT (TRF), were encountered in a cross-firing in the Rangpora Zakura area of Jammu & Kashmir's Srinagar: Kashmir Police to ANI
Encounter occurred post an indiscriminate fire by the hiding terrorists while a cordon and search operation was underway by Srinagar Police. Recovery of incriminating materials, arms and ammunition including 2 pistols & 5 hand grenades was made; further probe underway: Kashmir Police
Won't Vote In Punjab Elections, If Schools Don't Reopen: Teachers, Parents
Several teachers, parents and school administration have staged protest in different locations of the poll-bound Punjab and have also said that they will not vote in the upcoming Assembly election if schools are not reopened.
Punjab government has decided to keep schools across the state closed till February 8 in the view of increasing Coronavirus cases.
