Navjot Singh Sidhu Shares Wife's Diet Plan To 'Cure' Cancer Amid Backlash By Doctors
Sidhu was criticised by doctors after he claimed that natural methods like avoiding sugar and having neem and turmeric treated his wife's cancer.
Cricketer-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu shared the diet plan which he claimed helped his wife Navjot Kaur Sidhu's cancer treatment. Sidhu was criticised by doctors after he claimed that natural methods like avoiding sugar and having neem and turmeric treated his wife's cancer. As many as 262 oncologists from the hospital have come out with a statement in the public interest and urged people not to follow "unproven" remedies.
Now, Sidhu released another video on Monday and described doctors as God. He said the diet plan was made in consultation with doctors to better aid recovery. "My wife's cancer journey involved surgeries, chemotherapy, hormonal and targeted therapy, positivity and determination to fight cancer which was facilitated by a strict diet plan inspired by ancient Indian Ayurveda, the Nobel prize-winning research by Yoshinori Ohsumi for 'discoveries of the mechanisms for autophagy' and observations of eminent doctors worldwide," he said.

Diet Supported Me During Times Of Swelling: Sidhu's Wife
Navjot Kaur, who was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, said the diet supported her during times of swelling. "I always believed that cancer treatment works best when complemented by a proper diet. The diet supported me during times of swelling, and the Ayurvedic regimen has been a great help. Maintaining a healthy routine, including regular exercise, is essential. Above all, it's crucial to avoid food adulteration for better health," she said.
Sidhu earlier this week claimed his wife Navjot Kaur followed a disciplined lifestyle during her cancer recovery. Her routine included lemon water, raw turmeric, apple cider vinegar, neem leaves, and tulsi. She consumed juices made from pumpkin, pomegranate, amla, beetroot, and walnuts, along with sour fruits. He said the food was cooked using coconut oil, cold-pressed oils, or almond oil. Her morning tea was infused with cinnamon, cloves, jaggery, and cardamom.
