Kerala: Muslim girl allegedly expelled from madrasa for wearing 'bindi'
The father in his post wrote, "lucky, they didn't sentence her to get stoned to death."
NEW DELHI: A viral Facebook post is circulating on social media sites where a father from Kerala lashed out at his daughter's madrassa, which apparently expelled her for wearing a bindi.
The father in his post says that his daughter Henna was thrown out of school because she sported the traditional 'chandana pottu', a bindi made with sandalwood paste. He further says that it was only for a film shooting.
The post which has been liked 8.4K times and shared 3,073 times says that the girl was a topper and she was still expelled for such a matter.
Many supported the post while others dismissed the incident by saying that this was Malayil's attempt to defame Islam as a religion.
