A four-story building collapsed in Mumbai's Saibaba Nagar neighbourhood in Borivali West, according to fire brigade officials. There have been no casualties and all residents have been safely evacuated from the building, reported ABP News.

"At least eight fire engines and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot," as soon as the incident was reported, said BMC on its official Twitter handle, as reported by PTI.

"Gitanjali Building near Saibaba temple in Saibaba Nagar in Borivali west collapsed around 12.30 pm," a civic official was quoted by PTI in its report.
According to the R-Central ward of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the building was classified decrepit and had been abandoned, according to another official.
"The fire brigade is checking whether anyone is trapped," he was quoted by PTI in its report.
The BMC had labelled the building a derelict structure.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai fire department has classified the fall as L-2.
This is not the first time something like this has happened. Earlier in Gurgaon, at least two people were killed and numerous more were believed to be trapped after the top of an apartment building in Haryana's Gurugram fell.
The event occurred on the sixth floor of the Chintels Paradiso apartment complex in Gurugram's Sector 109's D Block. While a room on the floor was being refurbished, the drawing room floor fell.
All of the building's roofs and floors fell at the same time, from the sixth to the ground floor, and rescue efforts are presently underway.
