Samajwadi Party Patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav Tests Positive For Coronavirus, Currently Asymptomatic

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party (SP) patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, the party informed from its Twitter handle. As per the information, the veteran leader is currently being looked after by medical experts and is said to be asymptomatic. Soon after the reports of senior SP leader testing positive came to light, his son and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that his father is currently stable and is being treated at the Medanta Hospital. "Hounarouble Netaji's health is stable. He was been admitted to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon after he tested positive for Covid-19. We are constantly in touch with senior doctors and will provide updates on his health from time-to-time," Akhilesh Yadav tweeted in Hindi. Mulayam Singh's wife Sadhana Gupta has also tested positive for Covid-19, reports said. (This is a developing story. More details are awaited.)
