Karnataka Govt Revokes Allotment Of 48 MUDA Sites In Mysuru
Officials clarified that these sites were not allotted under the contentious "50:50 scheme," which is currently under scrutiny by both the Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
The Karnataka government has cancelled the allocation of 48 sites under the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) citing irregularities in the allotment process. The decision follows an order issued by the MUDA on November 30, 2024. The plots in Datta Gallalli Layout were allocated in December 2023. However, the plots were cancelled due to alleged rule violations despite legal and procedural discrepanies with the then-MUDA Commissioner GT Dinesh Kumar.
These sites were located in the Datta Gallalli area of Mysuru city and were originally allotted through a resolution passed on March 23, 2023, as per a report on PTI, citing sources. The cancellation was prompted by alleged violations in the allocation procedure, though specific details of the irregularities remain undisclosed.

Officials clarified that these sites were not allotted under the contentious "50:50 scheme," which is currently under scrutiny by both the Lokayukta and the Enforcement Directorate (ED). This scheme has been the focus of investigations following reports that Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s wife, Parvathi B M, had received 14 sites in Mysuru's upscale areas through it.
The Lokayukta police have filed an FIR against Siddaramaiah, Parvathi, his brother-in-law Mallikarjuna Swamy, and others in connection with the case. In response to the controversy, Parvathi requested MUDA to cancel her allotment of the sites, distancing herself from the allegations.
The government’s decision to revoke the allotment highlights its focus on addressing alleged procedural lapses in land distribution, even as investigations into the larger 50:50 scheme continue.
