Expressing concern over the Parliament security breach, CM Banerjee said it is a “serious matter” and thorough probe should be done. “There was a great lapse. the Union Home Minister has already admitted that. Let them investigate it,” she told PTI.

She also dismissed an alleged link of the security breach accused Lalit Jha with TMC’s youth wing.

Demanding an “unbiased investigation”, she said, “He (Lalit Jha) has some connection with Jharkhand or some other state, I am not sure about this.”

CM Banerjee also slammed the BJP of “spreading nuisance” and “maligning” the state.

“We must be responsible while making comments. They (the BJP) have a habit of maligning Bengal and spreading nuisance. Bengal doesn't support any kind of wrongdoing,” the TMC supremo told the news agency.
