'Made Enough Money For 3-4 Generations...', Says Karnataka Congress MLA | WATCH
"We have earned enough for the next three-four generations in the name of Nehru, Indira and Sonia Gandhi," said the MLA, as reported by ANI.
New Delhi: Congress MLA and former Karnataka Assembly Speaker K R Ramesh Kumar on Thursday, set off a controversy after he suggested that Congress leaders have earned enough in the name of Nehru-Gandhis "to last us for next three to four generations". Kumar who is known for his unfiltered comments made headlines last year for his rape comment during Assembly.
While speaking during the protest held by Congress party at Freedom Park in Bengaluru over Sonia Gandhi being questioned by the Enforcement Directorate, he said "We have made enough money for 3-4 generations in the name of Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.”
"If this country should survive, Congress should survive. Let's leave all the petty issues aside. Sonia Gandhi should be morally relieved. Only then the two meals we eat will be worthwhile. We have earned enough for the next three-four generations in the name of Nehru, Indira and Sonia Gandhi. If we are not prepared for even this small sacrifice today, the rice we eat will rot and have worms in future," the Karnataka Congress leader said, as reported by news agency ANI.

Last year too the Congress leader had created a row in the state assembly after he said, "There is a saying that when rape is inevitable, lie down and enjoy it. That is exactly the position in which you are," reported ANI.
After backlash, the Congress MLA offered an apology.
On Thursday, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the National Herald money laundering case.
