Lok Sabha elections: FIR against the person who released fake list of BSP candidates on social media

Both BSP Chief Mayawati and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav addressed a press briefing and declared an alliance on Saturday. Both also made public their seat sharing formula, where both parties will be contesting the polls on 38 seats each.

New Delhi: Two days after Bahujan Samaj Party and Samajwadi Party announced an alliance in Uttar Pradesh in the wake of Lok Sabha elections, and declared their seat sharing formula via press conference; an FIR has been lodged against the person who floated a fake list of BSP candidates. This complaint was lodged by BSP state Chief RS Kushwaha at Gautampalli police station after the fake list was released. The list was released with fake signatures on social media. The complaint has been lodged under section 419, 468, 469, 470, 471, 74 under IT act. Both BSP Chief Mayawati and SP Chief Akhilesh Yadav addressed a press briefing and declared an alliance on Saturday. Both also made public their seat sharing formula, where both parties will be contesting the polls on 38 seats each. Two of the total 80 seats will be given to smaller allies and Amethi and Rae Bareli seats will be left for Congress as a customary practice. The party is however yet to declare the list of candidates.
