BJP President JP Nadda Along With His Family Recovers From Covid-19, Thanks AIIMS Staff

Nadda Visited Bengal in the second week of December. Post-visit he developed symptoms after which he was tested positive for Covid-19.

Delhi: BJP’s National President JP Nadda has recovered from coronavirus after he had tested positive on December 13. Nadda, on Friday, took to Twitter to share the news of his well-being. Along with him, his family members had also tested COVID-19 positive and now have recovered. ALSO READ | Lists Of Health Workers Created, Will Be Uploaded On Covid Platform: Health Minister On Vaccine Dry Run In his tweet, Nadda thanked the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) director Randeep Guleria and his team for the efforts they put in. “I thank everyone for their wishes, prayers, and moral support during my illness. My family members and I have now fully recovered from COVID-19,” the BJP party president said in his tweet. “We wholeheartedly thank Dr Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS, and his team for their dedication & continued support in these challenging times,” Nadda tweeted. https://twitter.com/JPNadda/status/1344925078031630339 Nadda contracted the coronavirus when he had gone to campaign in West Bengal for the upcoming assembly elections. After coming back from the state, he developed symptoms like sore throat, following which he tested positive. ALSO READ | Know All About Eclipses In 2021; Only Two Will Be Visible From India This Year All Covid-19 precautions like maintaining social distancing and face masks were made mandatory and even the BJP part president wore face masks constantly throughout the rally, but still, he got infected. It is also worth mentioning that during his visit to the state, the convoy of the BJP chief was attacked along with the party’s general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya. Following the incident, the Union Home Ministry summoned Bengal’s top officials including the chief secretary of the state and DGP to which Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee refused. The refusal followed a serious tussle between the Union and the state, leading to the deputation of three IPS officers who were involved in the security protocol of the BJP leaders.
