J&K: Drone Carrying Sticky Bombs & Grenade Launchers Shot Down In Kathua, Payload Being Screened
As per Jammu and Kashmir police, a search party of police picked up the movement of a drone from the border in Talli Hariya Chak area under the Rajbagh police station's jurisdiction.
New Delhi: A drone was shot down in the Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday soon after it crossed into the Indian side from across the International Border. The drone had a payload attached to it that is currently being screened by the bomb disposal experts in the Union Territory. A search party of police picked up the movement of a drone from the border in Talli Hariya Chak area under the Rajbagh police station's jurisdiction in the morning and fired at it, a police spokesperson said, as reported by news agency PTI.
SSP Kathua informed that seven UBGLs (Under Barrel Grenade Launcher) and seven sticky/magnetic bombs were recovered from the payload attached to the Hexacopter as further analysis underway, ANI reported.

Earlier in the day, Jammu Police tweeted: "Today early morning, the search party observed a NorthKorea drone coming from the #border side and fired at it. The drone was shot down. It has a payload attachment with it which is being screened by the bomb disposal experts."

On the basis of drone activity observed in the area, an early morning search party of police visits the general area every morning and today they shot down the drone.
