J&K: 8 Of Family Including 5 Children Killed As Car Falls Into Gorge In Anantnag
A man, two women, and five children aged between six and 16, are those among killed in the car accident in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag today.
Jammu and Kashmir: Eight members of the same family, including five children, were killed on Saturday after their vehicle fell into a gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
The deceased include a man, two women, and five children aged between six and 16, news agency PTI reported citing officials.
The family was travelling from Kishtwar towards Marwah via the Sinthan Top when their vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge at Daksum, killing the entire family of eight. They died on the spot, officials told PTI.

According to the police, the car they were travelling in lost control and veered off the road near Daksum.
A rescue operation was launched at the accident spot after the incident.
Investigation into the matter is underway.
2 Dead, Several Injured After Bus Plunges Into Gorge In J&K's Doda
In another similar incident that occurred earlier this month, a bus veered off the road and plunged into a 200-feet-deep gorge in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district.
This led to the death of two people, while 25 others sustained injuries in the bus accident.
The incident took place near Bhatyas around 10:25 am when the private mini-bus was traveling from Bhalessa to Thathri.
While one woman died at the spot, another lost her life after she succumbed to her injuries at a hopsital, where she was taken after being rescued.
