International Yoga Day 2020: 'Yoga Builds Immunity, Helps In Fighting Covid-19,' Says PM Modi

International Yoga day 2020: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the day of International Yoga Day addressed the nation and emphasized how Yoga can help fight Covid-19. He said that the need of Yoga is being realized by the world even more due to the outbreak of pandemic, as it helps keep the immunity strong. A large number of people across the world have included yoga in their daily routine, in the weak of the deadly contagion's outbreak. “World is realising the need of Yoga, even more, today due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. If our immunity is strong then it helps in fighting against the disease. There are Yoga practices that boost our immunity and improve metabolism,” PM Modi said on International Yoga Day. “Covid-19 attacks our respiratory system.'Pranayam', a breathing exercise is something that helps us the most in making our respiratory system strong,” Prime Minister said. He said that the day marks solidarity and brotherhood and extended his greetings at the beginning of his address. Many congratulations and best wishes to all of you on the 6th International Yoga Day . This day is a day of solidarity and universal brotherhood, PM said. Yoga Day: Prime Minister Modi's address this year was digital and this is for the first time that no large-scale gathering is taking place to practice Yoga.
