International Yoga Day 2020 Celebrated In Kargil, Ladakh As Per This Year's Theme 'Yoga At Home And Yoga With Family'

Chief Executive Councillor Feroz Ahmad Khan while talking about the importance of Yoga particularly during these days of lockdown and Covid restrictions, said that Yoga will be a great tool to reduce the level of stress and increase the fitness level.

Kargil: In Kargil Ladakh, International Yoga Day in view of the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic situation was observed at home with family as per the theme for this year's International Yoga Day "Yoga at Home and Yoga with Family." Feroze Ahmad Khan (CEC LAHDC Kargil), Mohammad Ali Chandan and Mubarak Shah (Executive Councillor), Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary (Deputy Commissioner, Kargil), Dr Vinod Kumar (SSP Kargil), PK Thakur (DDG AIR Kargil), other officers and prominent personalities observed the International Yoga Day along with thousands of prominent citizens and personalities from various joined the celebration of yoga day with family members at their homes. The day was also observed at Sub-Divisional and Tehsil level with proper care of SOPs and precautions. Chief Executive Councillor Feroz Ahmad Khan while talking about the importance of Yoga particularly during these days of lockdown and Covid restrictions, said that Yoga will be a great tool to reduce the level of stress and increase the fitness level. It is very important that we should practice Yoga every day to have a sound and healthy life by sparing few minutes, he added. District Magistrate Kargil Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary thanked the people of Kargil for taking care of the SOPs and lockdown orders and celebrating International Yoga Day at home with family. DDG AIR Kargil PK Thakur celebrated International Yoga Day with staff at duty at AIR Kargil Headquarters at Baroo and said that people working at AIR Kargil coming from different States are family here and taking care with this year’s theme they are celebrating International Yoga Day with AIR family in this frontier district of Kargil in Ladakh.
