International Women's Day 2022: Women Police Officers To Handle Traffic Management In Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, this time, women's day has been planned to be celebrated differently.

International Women's Day News: Madhya Pradesh government has planned to celebrate International Women's Day in a different way this time around. 

Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that on International Women's Day on Tuesday women police officers along with their male counterparts will handle traffic management across the state.

Home Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters the aim of the initiative is to boost the confidence and self-esteem of women and to send a message that they can work on an equal level with men.

"Our daughters in Madhya Pradesh who are serving in the police force will handle traffic management across the state along with their male counterparts. There will be a new beginning in the state from tomorrow," he said.

International Women's Day is celebrated on March 8 to highlight issues related to women, especially to encourage equality.

On International Women's Day in Madhya Pradesh, Sudama Chakraborty, a divyang athlete, will also be made Collector for one day. Sudama is a national-level judo player and a resident of Dashraman village in Katni district.
