Home Minister Narottam Mishra told reporters the aim of the initiative is to boost the confidence and self-esteem of women and to send a message that they can work on an equal level with men.

"Our daughters in Madhya Pradesh who are serving in the police force will handle traffic management across the state along with their male counterparts. There will be a new beginning in the state from tomorrow," he said.
