PM Modi Red Fort Speech: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver his speech at 7:30 am after hoisting the national flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to deliver his tenth consecutive Independence Day speech on Tuesday, on the occasion of the 77th Independence Day of India. Tuesday's speech also marks his last address before the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, hence the annual event is eagerly anticipated, as it serves as a platform for him to showcase his government's achievements and introduce flagship initiatives. Similar to his previous addresses, the prime minister might opt to map out the nation's progress in various sectors since 2014 and outline his vision for the years ahead.

He will address the nation at 7:30 am after hoisting the national flag from the ramparts of the Red Fort. People can watch the celebrations and his speech live on PM Modi’s YouTube channel.

Modi's speeches have mostly highlighted India's rising global stature, new energy, and purpose in pushing forward the country's development journey and increasing the self-confidence of its population, along with the country's embrace of firm security and foreign policy doctrines guided solely by the national interest.

Starting from 2014, Modi announced a host of new programmes on this day such as Swachh Bharat and Jan Dhan accounts. Since then, he has utilised this occasion to make key announcements and sought to engage with citizens on a range of issues, including social ills like crimes against women and social conflicts.

In 2022, 'Panch Pran' (five pledges) was the main highlight of his speech, as he called upon people to make India a developed nation by 2047, remove any trace of the colonial mindset, take pride in our legacy, boost the strength of unity and fulfill the duties of citizens with honesty.

PM Modi may also announce important schemes ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in 2024.

In 2018 ahead of the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, Modi announced the health insurance scheme for the poor, Ayushman Bharat.
