Hindi Diwas 2018:  National Hindi Divas (known as Hindi Day) is observed on September 14 every year in India. The day is observed to promote Hindi as Matra Bhasha (mother tongue) of India and to propagate Hindi language and its cultural heritage and values among the people of the country and abroad. People across the nation celebrate the day by organising literary festivals, Hindi poetry sessions, Hindi essay writing competitions, Hindi speech contests and other events. Why we celebrate National Hindi Diwas? On 14 September 1949, the Hindi language was adopted as the official language of the country by the Constituent Assembly of India. As per the report, two years after the independence, the newly formed administration was reeling under the pressure to bring together the multiple linguistic, cultural and religious groups of the nation. It was believed that the unification of the country had to be done along with giving it a unique national flavour. In a country that did not have anyone language giving it a unique national identity. Therefore, there was this language, Hindi, which provided itself as the solution for unification. In order to celebrate the day, here we have curated some Hindi Diwas wishes, quotes, and messages, which you can share with everyone. Hindi Diwas 2018: Why we celebrate National Hindi Diwas?
