Dhankhar appealed to the "state intelligentsia and diaspora to reflect on the worrisome situation of the state".
New Delhi: West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar who has had frequent run-ins with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, again took a dig at the Trinamool Congress government on Thursday by calling the situation in the state "Worrisome".
Dhankhar appealed to the "state intelligentsia and diaspora to reflect on the worrisome situation of the state".
"Appeal Bengal Intelligentsia, Diaspora and Media to reflect on present alarmingly worrisome state of affairs and scenario indicated by Human Rights Commission that in WB there is (a) law of ruler, not rule of law and contribute towards securing governance as per constitutional norms and law," the West Bengal governor wrote on his Twitter handle.
He further tweeted, "sane voices at this juncture will deal a staggering blow to the already tottering democratic values and human rights in the state". "Time to ensure that the rich culture of state blossoms, generating scenario where there is a full exploitation of potential for public welfare."

Time to ensure rich culture of state blossoms generating scenario where there is full exploitation of potential for public welfare.
Chief Minister Banerjee had recently blocked Dhankhar on her Twitter account saying that the governor treated the government in the state like a "bonded labourer" and that she was disturbed by his continuous posts on the social networking site.
Banerjee also accused Dhankhar of "tapping phones" and "threatening" officials. The TMC chief compared the crisis with the Pegasus spyware controversy saying, "Pegasus is being done from the Raj Bhavan."
A writ petition has been filed against the governor in the Calcutta high court, which seeks immediate removal of Dhankhar.
Filed by an advocate, Ramaprashad Sarkar, the petition will come up for hearing on February 11, news agency ANI reported.
