For Christians around the world today is Good Friday which is observed as a commemoration of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is often considered as a day of fasting and attending church services. In many denominations, ‘Passion Plays’ or ‘Easter Pageant’ are also conducted which are dramatic re-enactment of the trial and death of Jesus Christ. The occasion also sees one of the longest church services starting from the morning and continuing till the afternoon. Due to the nationwide lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus, most churches have organised online prayers. In Kerala which has a large Christian population people were either joining prayer services through online streaming or engaged in small prayers at home. For the Christian's, today, on a normal Good Friday day, Churches would be overflowing and is often recorded as the most crowded day in a Church calendar.May the Darkest Night will end and the Sun will rise. Have a positive hope on this auspicious day and have a blessed Good Friday!
