PM Modi, Other Leaders Pay Tribute To The Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri On Their Birth Anniversary
Gandhi Jayanti: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday led the nation in paying respect to Mahatma Gandhi on his 150th birth anniversary by paying tribute to the Father of Nation at the Raj Ghat in the national capital.
Later, President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice President Venkaiah Naidu too arrived at the Raj Ghat to pay tribute to the Mahatma.राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी को उनकी 150वीं जन्म-जयंती पर शत-शत नमन।

PM Modi then went to Vijay Ghat to pay tribute to Lal Bahadur Shastri on his 115th birth anniversary.Remembering our former Prime Minister Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri ji on his birth anniversary. Earlier, Congress interim President Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh too arrived at the memorial ground where the Father of the Nation was cremated to offer their tribute. BJP working President J.P. Nadda was also present to pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Union Minister Prakash Javadekar took to Twitter and wrote, "Today as a tribute to #MahatmaGandhi this day is also commemorated as day of Non-Violence.
