Fire At Furniture Godown In Bhiwandi Area Of Thane, 4 Fire Fighting Vehicles Engaged On The Spot 

The Bhiwandi fire department said that no injuries or casualties have been reported as yet. The fire controlling operations are underway. 

New Delhi: On Friday morning, a fire broke out in a furniture godown Sumaras Chamunda Complex of the Bhiwandi area in Thane, Mumbai. Four fire vehicles are engaged in controlling the fire, and no casualties have been reported as yet.

According to news agency ANI, the fire spread out to three more godowns. A fire fighting official said, “The fire that broke out at a furniture godown at Sumaras Chamunda Complex in Bhiwandi area in Thane has now spread to 3 more godowns. Four fire tenders are present at the spot.”

The Bhiwandi fire department said that no injuries or casualties have been reported as yet. The fire controlling operations are underway. 

This is not the first time that godowns in Bhiwandi are burning. In October 2021, there was a fire in the Bhiwandi area of Thane which led to a lot of property damage. The fire had charred around 40 godowns. However, no casualties or injuries were reported then.

In August 2021 as well, there was a fire in the Ulhasnagar area of Bhiwandi, Thane which charred five godowns. According to news agency PTI, no injuries were reported in this fire as well.
