As the farmers' protest doesn't seem to be reaching any conclusion, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal who had taken the farmers' side on Wednesday threatened legal action against Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his media advisor Raveen Thukral for allegedly sharing a doctored video on Twitter that showed him purportedly supporting the farm laws. As per the ANI report, Kejriwal came out strongly against the Punjab CM, saying Singh has resorted to dirty politics for political survival. The video was shared on Twitter by Singh’s media advisor Raveen Thukral which showed the Delhi chief minister purportedly praising three new farm laws passed by the Centre.
“Day after @AamAadmiParty walkout from an all-party meet, @capt_amarinder says @ArvindKejriwal is on record praising #FarmLaws, showing where their sympathies lie. Trashes claim of Delhi CM video being doctored, says their track record of U-turns on #farmers there for all to see,” Thukral said on Twitter while sharing the link of the video.
Delhi CM tagged Thukral’s tweet and responded back saying that the video being referred to in the post is doctored.
“This is a doctored video. Shocking that Capt Amarinder has resorted to such dirty politics for political survival. I urge media to refrain from publishing or using this video. If @capt_amarinder does not withdraw this video immediately n apologize, I’ll take legal action against him,” the Delhi CM tweeted.
As per the ANI report, Kejriwal accused Singh of acting like the Chief Minister of the BJP. Delhi CM pointed out that instead of focusing on the children of Punjab who has gone missing, and the thousands of farmers protesting against the central farm laws, Captain Amarinder Singh is busy playing politics from his posh farmhouse. Kejriwal criticised the Punjab counterpart saying that Punjab CM has once again proved that he was nothing but a spokesperson of the BJP.
The AAP national convenor has been extending support to the farmers’ agitation against the three agri laws.
