Farmers' Protest: Check Traffic Advisories For Delhi, Noida, Haryana, Chandigarh Ahead Of Tuesday March

Traffic advisories have been issued in Delhi, Noida, Haryana, and Chandigarh in anticipation of a farmers' 'Delhi Chalo' protest on February 13.

Authorities in Noida, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh have issued traffic advisories in anticipation of a farmers' protest in the national capital on February 13. Commuters are advised of potential traffic diversions and urged to use metro services where possible to mitigate disruptions. Specific alternative routes have been suggested for travel between Chandigarh and Delhi. Delhi Police have outlined alternative routes for interstate buses and heavy goods vehicles, while Chandigarh Police have advised the public to avoid certain roads for smooth traffic flow.

Delhi Traffic Advisory

Delhi Police has issued a comprehensive traffic advisory ahead of the farmers' proposed protest. Interstate buses and heavy goods vehicles intending to travel towards Sonipat, Panipat, Karnal, and other areas via NH-44 are advised on alternative routes. Commuters are encouraged to plan their journeys accordingly, considering diversions and restrictions at various border points. Additionally, specific routes have been outlined for cars and light goods vehicles to navigate through affected areas with minimal disruption. Noida Traffic Advisory

Noida Police have alerted commuters about potential traffic disruptions on routes leading to and from Delhi on Tuesday due to the proposed farmers' protest in the national capital. In light of the situation, intensified security measures will be implemented at the Noida-Delhi border, with possible route diversions. Commuters are urged to utilise metro services to ease their travel.

"People going to Delhi, please use metros as much as possible to avoid traffic inconvenience," stated the police. Additionally, restrictions will be imposed on the movement of goods vehicles on specific routes, with diversions expected on DND and Chilla border routes. Emergency vehicle access will be ensured, and a traffic helpline number has been provided for assistance.

"The arrival of all types of goods vehicles will be restricted on the route from Yamuna Expressway to Delhi via Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and from Sirsa to Surajpur via Parichowk," the police added.

The police stated that diversions would be placed on DND and Chilla border routes, among others:

1. Vehicles heading to Delhi from the Chilla border can take Sector 14A flyover, Golchakkar Chowk, Sector 15, Sandeep Paper Mill Chowk, and Jhundpura Chowk.
2. Vehicles from the DND border heading to Delhi can use the Film City flyover, Sector 18, and Elevated Road.
3. Vehicles heading to Delhi from the Kalindi border can take the Mahamaya flyover and Sector 37.
4. Delhi-bound traffic from the Yamuna Expressway can exit at Jewar toll and proceed towards Khurja, Jahangirpur.
5. Vehicles from the Peripheral Expressway can take a detour at Sirsa, Parichowk, and head towards Delhi via Dadri and Dasna.
6. Emergency vehicles will be directed towards safe routes during diversions.

"In case of traffic inconvenience, you can contact the traffic helpline number 9971009001. Please use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience," the police stated.

Haryana Traffic Routes: Chandigarh To Delhi Alternatives

For travellers from Chandigarh to Delhi and vice versa, alternative routes have been suggested by authorities in Haryana. These include routes via Panchkula, Barwala, Saha, Ladwa, and Pipli, as well as through Panchkula, Barwala, Yamunanagar, and Karnal. "These routes can be used for travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh as well," a post by the Haryana police informed.

Advising against unimportant travel, Haryana Police stated that people can contact 112 for emergency situations.

Chandigarh Traffic Advisory

Chandigarh Police advisory urges the public to avoid certain roads for travel to ensure smooth traffic and maintain law and order. "Precautionary arrangements are being made in Chandigarh on February 13 for proper maintenance of law and order and smooth traffic," stated the advisory.

"The public is advised to avoid travel towards the Mattour barrier (dividing road Sector-51/52), furniture market barrier (Chandigarh-Mohali road Sector- 53/54), Badheri barrier (dividing road Sector-54/55), dividing road Sector-55/56, Mohali barrier, Faidan barrier, Zirakpur barrier, Mullanpur barrier, Naya Gaon barrier, Housing Board Light Point Manimajra and Dhillon barrier," as per the advisory.

It said that Traffic diversions will be implemented as necessary, with commuters advised to cooperate with authorities and follow instructions for their convenience and safety.
