Fact Check: Mark Zuckerberg Never Said ‘Jai Shree Ram’ Written 200 Crore Times On Facebook

A viral social media post claims that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has said that ‘Jai Shree Ram’ is written on Facebook 200 crore times. It turns out that this information is false.

New Delhi: There is a new viral post circulation that claims that Facebook founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that ‘Jai Shree Ram’ is written on Facebook 200 crore times. The post which has a photo of the Hindu god Ram and Zuckerberg says reads, "Mark Zuckerberg claims that each and every day at least 200 CRORES "Jai Shri Ram" are written on Facebook. Let's add a few more thousands here, please. Jai Shri Ram Jai Shri Ram Jai Shri Ram!!" So far there are no reporsts in which Zuckerberg has made any such claims. Such posts were made by multiple social media users around the time of Ram temple bhoomi pujan in Ayodhya. There has been no source where it is stated that Mark Zuckerberg made such a claim and while the phrase did gain some popularity during the Bhoomi Pujan week, there was a sharp decline before and after the week. Even in Facebook's Blog newsroom where updates or the latest news, announcements and media resources from the Facebook company are posted, there was no result for 'Jai Shri Ram'.
