Delhi Police nab criminal wanted by three states in early morning encounter, other escapes

It is said that the two goons belong to gangster Neetu Dabodia’s crew.

New Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cell injured a criminal wanted in three states, in an encounter that took place in the wee hours on Sunday in Ghazipur police station limits. In the encounter that broke out at around 4:30 am, police surrounded the two criminals who are wanted by three states and carry a bounty of Rs 2 lakh each. On finding themselves trapped by police, the goons started firing at them. In return police fired 12 rounds at them in which one of them named Vinod got injured while another named Ashok Pradhan managed to flee. It is said that the two goons belong to gangster Neetu Dabodia’s gang. The number plate of the bike on which they were mounted was hidden with a white paper. The two goons were wanted criminals in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Delhi. Ashok Pradhan is a notorious goon of Haryana who carries charges of loot, murder and has many cases pending against him, Delhi police was in search of the two since long. Vinod who has been successfully apprehended by police, had recently spearheaded plans to extort Rs 10 crore by kidnapping a trader in Agra. However, four days ago, five of his team members were nabbed before they could give the plan a go. Police had made complete plans to apprehend the two goons upon receiving information about their arrival in the area.
