Delhi: CM Kejriwal Launches Mobile App For Updates On Vacant Beds In Covid-19 Hospitals | Check Details

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday appealed people to heed to doctors' advice in case they have mild or asymptomatic cases and get treatment at home instead of crowding hospitals.

New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday launched a mobile app to bridge the information gap among the patients about the availability of beds and ventilators in the concerned Covid-19 hospitals. He also urged the patients to heed to doctors’ advice of staying at home in mild or asymptomatic cases, to support proper management of resources in hospitals. Asserting that there are enough treatment facilities in Delhi, he said that there have been instances where people are complaining of shortage of beds and medical facilities, so clearly there is gap in information as even today around 4100 beds are still vacant. To avoid this kind of situation in future, we are launching an app today, he said. The app named ‘Delhi Corona’ can be downloaded from Google Play and needs to be updated twice in the day for latest updates. The application will work to dispel patients’ confusion regarding which hospital has how many beds available. This will help them to know where to reach in case of emergency. He said a web page to facilitate same information has also been started. The app seeks to provide the patients with information It will provide you information about all the hospitals in Delhi, private as well as government hospital. Meanwhile, he assured people that the hospital infrastructure in Delhi is enough to suffice the cases in the national capital. “Number of cases in Delhi are increasing, but there's no need to worry about medical care for Covid-19 patients as we've done sufficient arrangements. If any member of your family tests positive, then they'll get the required medical services,” he said.

Also Watch: He also said that Delhi government is four steps ahead of Coronavirus. Even though the number of infections is rising, not all of the infected people need to be admitted in hospitals. We have made all the arrangements for beds, ICUs and ventilators in hospitals, he said. Total 302 ventilators are available in Delhi, of which 210 are vacant, Kejriwal said.  All this information regarding available of treatment facilities will be updated in the app  twice a day, at 10am and 6 pm, with latest updates.
