'I Don't Even Have A House To Live In Delhi': Kejriwal In 'Janta Ki Adalat' At Jantar Mantar

Kejriwal is holding the 'Adalat' at Jantar Mantar in order to address the corruption charges levelled against him. Jantar Mantar is the same venue where his political journey began.

AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday held 'Janta Ki Adalat' at the Jantar Mantar, the same venue where his political journey began more than a decade ago from the India Against Corruption Movement. "I resigned because I did not come to do corruption or to earn money. I came to change the politics of the country," Kejriwal said.

The former Delhi Chief Minister is holding the 'Adalat' in order to address the corruption charges levelled against him in the excise policy case.

Will Leave CM House Soon: Kejriwal

Kejriwal said he will leave his official residence soon and give up all the facilities. "When I leave the CM house, I won't even have a place to live. I'm getting a lot of calls from people saying, 'Come to my house, live at my house for free," said Kejriwal.

"After sharad and navratra, I will vacate the CM house and come live among you people. I have decided that until the court gives me a clean chit, I won't sit on the CM seat, but my lawyers say it will take 7-8 years," Kejriwal said, adding, "It is up to the people to decide who the thief is—me or the BJP."

"For the last ten years, we were running the government honestly, we made electricity and water free, made treatment free for people, made education excellent…Modi ji started thinking that if he wanted to win against them, he would have to attack their honesty and then hatched a conspiracy to prove Kejriwal, Sisodia and AAP dishonest and put each and every leader in jail," he said.

Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said the BJP kept him and his friend Kejriwal apart for 18 months. "In the 26 years of friendship, we didn't even stay apart for 18 hours. We used to meet every day, we used to talk about the country, we used to work for the country," he said.

Kejriwal Asks 5 Questions To RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat

Kejriwal posed five questions to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat.

  1. The way PM modi ji is using ED, CBI to break opposition parties and governments? Is this right? Is this deshbhakti?
  2. Modi ji has included all the corrupt people in his party? Did you ever think of such a BJP with corrupt leaders?
  3. BJP was born out of RSS' womb. Do you agree with all these?
  4. JP nadda during the lok polls said BJP does not RSS now. I want to ask Bhagwat ji, how did you feel, when Nadda gave this statement?
  5. BJP retired senior leaders from the party like Lal Kishan Advani…but now Amit Shah is saying that this rule does not apply to Modi ji. Do you agree with the rule?

AAP leader Atishi was administered oath as the eighth Chief Minister of Delhi by Lieutenant Governor V K Saxena on Saturday. BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari described the 'Adalat' as "adalat of corrupt". "The corrupt leaders will be sitting together to discuss how the public is to be looted...The public of Delhi will defeat Arvind Kejriwal in the upcoming elections," he added.
