Delhi Air Hostess Alleged Suicide: Report says Anissia Batra had alcohol in her blood before death
Before the Air Hostess Anissia Batra's death, the victim's family had also given a complaint to police saying that if anything happens to their daughter, Mayank Singhvi would be responsible.
NEW DELHI: Months after 39-year-old female flight attendant Anissia Batra allegedly committed suicide in Delhi’s Hauz Khas, a medical report claims that the woman was under the influence of alcohol when she died. New agency ANI reported that the Regional Forensic Science Laboratory in its report confirmed 298mg/100ml quantity of alcohol in Batra's blood sample but it was also said that the report will make no difference to the investigation by the Crime Branch.
Earlier in July, the Delhi-based air hostess Anissia Batra had allegedly jumped off the terrace of her house after a heated argument with her husband. Before her death, she had reportedly sent a message to her friend on WhatsApp, stating that she was allegedly locked up in a room by Singhvi. Batra had also asked her friend to inform the police about it. Subsequently, Mayank was arrested on July 16.
Anisiya’s family alleged that she was being tortured since she got married to Mayank Singhvi. The family also said that Mayank was married earlier and he had hidden this from Ananias and her family. The couple was married on February 23, 2016 and they left for Dubai for their honeymoon a week after their marriage. Anissia's mother alleged that Mayank had beaten her daughter in the hotel lobby on the second day of the honeymoon.
The husband, a software engineer in Gurgaon, had told the police that they had regular fights due to "compatibility issues". They had an argument on the day of the incident as well, following which she jumped from the terrace. On June 27, the victim's family had also given a complaint to police saying that if anything happens to their daughter, Mayank would be responsible.
