Covid Update: India's Daily Positivity Rate Around 4% As Country Logs Over 12K Fresh Infections
Meanwhile 9,862 cases of the coronavirus were reported recovered taking the cumulative recovery toll to 4,27,25,055. In the last 24 hours, 13 people across the country succumbed to the infection.
New Delhi: India reported 12,249 fresh cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours as per the Union Health Ministry as compared to 9,923 cases that were reported on Tuesday. With fresh cases, the active cases in the country have risen to 81,867. Meanwhile 9,862 cases of the coronavirus were reported recovered taking the cumulative recovery toll to 4,27,25,055.
In the last 24 hours, 13 people across the country succumbed to the infection.
Daily positivity rate on national level was at 3.94 percent while weekly positivity rate was at 2.90 percent.
3,10,623 samples were tested for the Covid-19 in the last 24 hours totalling the cumulative number of tests in the country to 85.88 crore.

Under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive, 196.45 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered so far.
On Tuesday, Delhi had reported 1,383 fresh cases of Covid-19 and one death. Positivity rate in the national capital was recorded at 7.22 percent.
In Maharashtra, 3,659 new cases of Covid-19 were reported on Tuesday with one fatality taking the tally to 79,41,762 and the toll to 1,47,889, a health department official said.
Of the new cases, Mumbai Circle, that includes the country's financial capital and its surrounding metropolitan region, led with 2,952 cases, followed by 454 in Pune, 72 in Nashik, 69 in Nagpur, 28 in Akola, 27 in Aurangabad and 26 in Latur.
