Coronavirus Update : Army Doctor, JCO Test Positive For Covid-19

Both the doctor and the JCO are understood to have visited an Army facility near the national capital earlier this month.

New Delhi: Two Army officials including a colonel rank doctor and a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) tested positive for coronavirus on Sunday, as the total count of positive cases countrywide breached the 1100-mark.  The doctor is serving at the Command Hospital in Kolkata while the JCO is posted to an Army base in Dehradun. The sources have stated that the Army has traced all those who have come in contact with the two persons and accordingly they were quarantined. They also said that both the patients are keeping good health. A couple of weeks back, an Army jawan tested positive for COVID-19. The soldier was on leave at his home in Leh, taking care of his father who had returned from Iran and was infected. Also Check: Coronavirus In India LIVE Updates The soldier has already recovered, according to an official. The Army’s coronavirus operations have been christened as Operation Namaste on Friday. The total number of cases of Covid-19 in India saw a huge jump as the tally reached 1127, while the death toll touched 27. Also Watch:
