List Of Covid-19 Hotspots In Noida That Will Remain Sealed Till April 15

Locals in Noida rushed to ration shops even as a lockdown was in place amid the rise in Coronavirus cases. The residents resorted to panic buying moments after the Uttar Pradesh government announced the sealing of the hotspots in 15 districts of the state, including Noida.

Noida: With the number of coronavirus cases spurting to almost 350 in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Wednesday said all COVID-19 hotspots in 15 districts will be sealed till April 15. The 15 districts include Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida), Ghaziabad, Meerut, Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, Varanasi, Shamli, Saharanpur, Firozabad, Bulandhshahr, Bareilly, Basti, Maharajganj, and Sitapur. Here's the breakdown of the hot spots in the 15 clusters of Noida: 
  • Noida Sector 137-135
  • Dadri - Achheja Village and Bishnuli Village
  • Omicron Greater Noida - Ghodi Bachheda
  • Greater Noida - Alpha 1 and Zeta
  • Greater Noida West Sector 2 - Patwari Village
  • Greater Noida West - Gaur City Noida West
  • Noida Sector 37 and Noida Sector 27
  • Noida Sector 50,44 and 100
  • Noida Sector 5
  • Noida Sector 62
  • Noida Sector 74 and 78
  • Noida Sector 150

Speaking about the decision to seal the Covid-19 hotspots in 15 districts, chief secretary of Uttar Pradesh RK Tiwari said, "Only home delivery and medical teams will be allowed in these districts. It’s being done to prevent community spread, as numbers are high." A panic button was triggered across the region as reports of people rushing to buy groceries and essentials began surfacing. Forgetting PM Modi's reiteration about social distancing, people formed long queues outside grocery stores.
